1) Study in collaboration with The Center for Reproductive Medicine of Englewood, CO
Patients undergoing IVF at this center can participate in an ongoing randomized study comparing PGD and blastocyst replacement (test group) and no PGD and blastocyst replacement (control group). Any PGD fees will be waived. It is possible that cleavage-stage biopsied embryos could be slightly compromised during or after transfer on day 3. By replacing them at blastocyst stage the problem may be solved, and higher implantation may be obtained in the PGD test group than in controls and previous PGD data with day 3 replacement.

2) Study in collaboration with The Genesis Network for Reproductive Health of Southern California
Patients at any IVF center associated with the Genesis Network of IVF centers can participate in an ongoing randomized study comparing IVF with PGD (test group) and an IVF cycle (control group). Any PGD fees will be waived. Previous studies have shown that PGD increases implantation rates significantly, but these studies were not randomized. This study intends to solve this problem.

3) Study in Collaboration with The Infertility Center of St. Louis: Patients undergoing sperm retrieval and ICSI for obstructive or non-obstructive azoospermia can participate in an ongoing study with PGD to better select normal embryos for transfer. Thus far it appears that with severe spermatogenic deficit, ICSI-derived embryos have a higher risk of mosaic or chaotic chromosomal errors. Using PGD, a better selection of appropriate embryos for transfer may be possible, resulting in a better pregnancy rate and reduced risk of miscarriage.
